Maybe FreeNas just isn't compatible with ESX? So let's go test our new server! It has been installed & formatted UFS. The other day I turned off my server, so I could mount it into a 19" rack and when I turned it back on the Software RAID will not mount.

You can go and add additional shares to point to subdirectories in Data - I created folders called Music, Pictures, Movies, Videos, and Users (where I created folders for me and The kernel port is set for NFS and the NFSclient has been enabled on the firewall.
